  7.     Ice suffices for KATARINA WITT and BRIAN BOITANO. Between
  8. them, they've skated for 37 years and have three Olympic gold
  9. medals -- two for her, one for him. Starting in April, East
  10. Germany's Witt, 24, and the U.S.'s Boitano, 26, who met in 1983,
  11. will be swirling as a pair when they begin touring the world
  12. with a new show. The two friends, exhibiting fine form last week
  13. in Manhattan's Central Park, "have good chemistry and an
  14. emotional connection," says Boitano, but don't share a passion
  15. to compete. Witt has lost her feeling for pressure-filled
  16. contests; Boitano hopes to try for the '92 Olympics. Says he:
  17. "My heart and soul are in competitive skating."
